Julius Caesar- Act 3 Scene 1 Summary

This scene contains most of the main characters and some side characters who show there fave in small parts. This scene is the biggest scene in the while play, The Death Of Caesar. This scene shows us how other characters react before and after Caesar’s death, shows us how Caesar reacts to his ‘trusted’ subordinates. For me the one of the most significant quotations is just before the whole conspiracy stabs Caesar Casca says ‘Speak hands for me!’. This quotation is saying ‘let my hands do what my mouth could not. Casca had rage inside of him, thats why he stabs him first. He was to afraid to curse Caesar through his mouth so he chose to do it using his hands.

    Hello Aaron,

Do you feel it is significant that Casca stabbed Caesar in the back?

I think that you have begun to explain the metaphor in Casca’s speech here, but I would like to see it done in more detail – how about exploring the etymology of the word ‘hands’?
