There are many factors in this world that can impact on growth such as Genetics,Birthweight,Hormones,Nutritional and Environmental factors.
Nutritional- Testing has showed that breastfed children have a different growth pattern to non-breastfed children. Breastfed children grow more quickly during the first 3-6 months and then move slowly for the next 6-9 months. After 12 months breastfed children 0.5-0.6kg lighter than children who drink chemically made baby milk.
Environmental- Smoking and drugs being in the air or being done can harm the growth of a human being. Babies that inhale smoke can make their lungs become damaged and they could face the bad affects when older.
Hormones- Thongs such as insulin and testosterone can affect the birth weight and growth of a new born baby. For example people that are large at birth are at an increased risk of metabolic syndrome.
Genetics- A parents size has a direct influence on their child’s growth. A child with a short stature could be of concern of illnesses or poor nutrition, but for a shorth child with short parents they are genetically short.
Birthweight- Small birth sizes could be a risk of many diseases as Big birth sizes could be a risk of obesity, diabetes and many cancers. It is also common for small birth sizes to have asthma.
