How does Harper Lee present courage in chapter 11?
The defenition of courage is the ability to face danger or pain without fear.
We can see where Harper Lee presents courage from when Jem destorys scouts baton and cuts Mrs Duboses flowers. This shows that at that time Jem didn’t have any fear to worry about.
Another section in chapter 11 where Harper Lee presents courage is with scout. ‘She was horrible. Her face was the colour of a dirty pillowcase, and the corners of her mouth glistened with wet, which inches like a glacier down the deep grooves enclosing her chin.’ This shows that scout didn’t fear Mrs Dubose because she could say all of the mean things to her.
