Reflection and Evaluation

What Worked Well – What worked well was the spoken thoughts in the first scene. In the first scene there was a spoken thought that was said by the character James (Aaron), he would talk about the consequences of war and how he was getting persuaded by his long-time friend that they met in a supermarket a while back.

What Didn’t Work – The thing that didn’t work was the last scene. We didn’t really know where to position ourselves while I was reading Josh’s (Darnell) thoughts.

What changes did you make throughout the development process that improved/focussed your performance on its main driving question? – The changes that were made were to do with positioning, lighting, spoken thought and the way that scenes would end. These improved because we went into more depth with each point and used our time to pinpoint the bad things.

How did the audience respond? – The audience responded with positive thoughts but just said that it would need to be a little bit longer because it might not be past the three minute mark.

What would you do differently? – What I would do differently is read the questions more carefully before I rush into the whole activity.

What did you learn? – What I learnt was more different ways to improvise. I believe that my improvisation skills has gotten much better and believe that if i mess up in any other type of play then i could react more quicker and more confidently.
